FAQ Verizon Research Panel

FAQ: Verizon Research Panel

Overview

The Verizon Research Panel is a group of people who voluntarily participate in research conducted by Verizon in order to improve our customer experiences. By joining this group, you may be invited to and attend paid interviews with the potential to have a direct impact on our products and offerings. Your feedback matters to us and could greatly influence the future of Verizon experiences!

We are seeking representative feedback from our community, and are looking for participants from a variety of backgrounds. As long as you are over 18 years of age and are interested in participating, you are welcome to join. Please note that each study has its own needs for participants, so you may be invited to participate more or less frequently than you expect.

By joining the panel you may be invited to paid research sessions where you will meet with the researcher via video conference. The researcher will ask you various questions and may walk you through several scenarios in order to obtain your input. Please review the Research Studies Session section for a more detailed explanation about how study sessions are conducted.

Once you have enrolled you may have the opportunity to participate in a research session every few months. You will receive an email with a survey to see if you qualify for a research session. If you qualify, you will then be invited to participate. There is no guarantee that you will be contacted to participate. You will only be contacted if your profile matches a study’s requirements.

Research Study Sessions

Research generally involves a meeting by video conference with a Verizon user experience researcher who may direct you through a series of activities and ask you follow-up questions regarding your experiences. There may also be research sessions that involve focus groups, or home trials of special equipment. Details about the research will be made clear in the invitation. Please note for your safety and ours, all research sessions are currently being conducted by video conference. When it is safe to meet in person, eligible panelists within reasonable distances may be invited to participate in research sessions in our research facilities.

The first step is to enroll in our panel by filling out our sign-up questionnaire. You will also create a login to access your panelist portal. You will then be eligible to receive invitations to participate in research sessions via email. You can also view invitations on your panelist portal. The invitations will include a description of the research session and a link to a survey to see if you are eligible to the study’s specific interest.

Research sessions are generally between 30 and 90 minutes, and the average session is one hour. Your email invitation will include the session length.

No. You may choose to participate at your convenience and comfort and there is no obligation to respond to an invitation. If we don’t hear from you for an extended period, we may remove you from the panel. We recommend that you fill out an eligibility survey every 6 months just to check-in with us! You can also decline invitations if you’re not interested in participating.
